TASTING NOTES:

Nose: An alluring and complex bouquet. Dominant aromas of black cherries and ripe plums are layered with sophisticated hints of clove, allspice, and a subtle earthy fynbos undertone.

Palate: Intense and concentrated. The palate is a tapestry of dark bramble fruit and mulberry, supported by firm, structured tannins. There is a distinct mineral seam that keeps the wine fresh and vibrant on the mid-palate.

Finish: A long, elegant finish that lingers with notes of dark chocolate, savoury oak, and a final wisp of sweet tobacco.

This wine is part of a series that honours the “homestead” or the source of the fruit, emphasising terroir over industrial volume. Matured for 12 months in small French oak barrels, it is a medium-to-full-bodied red that balances the grape’s natural intensity with a cooling mineral edge. It is a sophisticated, polished wine that avoids the heavy “jamminess” of many commercial styles, offering instead a structured, elegant profile that appeals to the modern connoisseur.
