Please take a moment to read these online shopping terms and conditions including Gincident’s policies (collectively the “terms”) to understand how they apply to you the customer and your use of Gincident’s website and any Gincident.co.za products that you may order online.
These terms apply to all purchases made online from the website.
Please read these terms carefully and ensure you understand them.
Use of and/or registration on any aspect of the website will constitute your agreement to comply with these terms. Important clauses, which may limit Gincident’s responsibility or involve some risk for you, are reflected in blue*. Some of these provisions have the effect of limiting your rights in law and conferring obligations on you by virtue of your agreement to these terms. Registration as a purchaser on the website is free and does not oblige you to purchase anything. You must create an account and register with us before placing your first order online. Please register and create your account here.
Registration and/or use of Gincident’s website constitutes your acceptance and agreement to be bound by the terms of Gincident’s website.
When registering with us you will be required to provide an email address and a password which will be used as your user-name and password for the website. Please keep your password private as Gincident.co.za accepts no liability for any damages suffered or losses incurred from the use or misuse of your account.
You will be required to enter your user-name and password each time you visit the Gincident.co.za website.
To amend any registration particulars, please click on “My Account” where you can edit your details. When registering as a purchaser you are required to provide Gincident with complete and accurate information about yourself. By doing so, you warrant that the information provided is correct.
Upon acceptance of your registration, an email confirmation of your registration as a purchaser will be sent to you. Transmission times depend on your Internet Service Provider (ISP), but typically takes less than 10 (ten) minutes to receive the email confirmation. If you do not receive the email confirmation, you should contact us.
Product images and representation
We have made every effort to display the products on the website as accurately as possible, including:
- The images that represent a visual depiction of the product
- Features and descriptions that pertain to the product
The actual product delivered may be subject to variations in appearance, as product packaging may differ over time. It remains the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the product he/she ordered is correct, and the product description will always overrule any related images when resolving a dispute about a product.
As the actual colours you see will depend on your computer’s monitor, Gincident.co.za cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will be accurate.
Country of domicile
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Gincident.co.za chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery goods.
Inadvertent and obvious errors
While all precautions are taken by Gincident.co.za to provide the correct information on the website, if we identify an inadvertent and obvious error in the price or product description, images and any other relevant content, Gincident.co.za is not obligated to provide you with the affected product or service.
Gincident.co.za will make every effort to contact you or alert you of the error.
In such circumstances, you are entitled to cancel the purchase and we will provide a full refund for the amount paid.
Event and party delivery
Event and party deliveries 20km outside Pretoria will be subject to a delivery charge and quoted accordingly.

By submitting product reviews to Gincident.co.za, you represent and warrant that:
You understand you are participating in a public forum and that your submitted content and other personal information will be available to all other users of the site, the online community and potentially third party websites.
When you submit a review, you agree to the following:
- All review(s) submitted are accurate
- Your review is original and was created by you
- You are a resident of South Africa; and are at least 18 (eighteen) years of age
- You are currently a bona fide user of the Gincident.co.za product(s) mentioned in your review.
- You are not an employee of Gincident nor do you work for an affiliate or agency of Gincident.co.za hired by Gincident to promote and/or sell Gincident.co.za products;
- The statements you make in your review reflect your true and honest opinion of and current experience with the Gincident.co.zaproduct(s) that you are reviewing.
- If your review refers to a potential fault that could be specific to the item you received, no the brand in general, Gincident’s Customer Service team will be in touch to resolve it with you directly. In this instance, your review will not be published.
- Gincident.co.za does not publish reviews for products that are not purchased from us directly (i.e. products purchased from other retailers and/or in other countries).

Product review guidelines
What are the guidelines for writing a product review?
If you would like to submit a review for a particular product on www.gincident.co.za, please take note of the following guidelines:
- Focus on the product and your experience using it
- Provide specific details about what you liked and didn’t like about the product
- Remember that the purpose of submitting a product review is to provide insight for other customers who are considering purchasing the product
- Do not use offensive/vulgar language
- Do not disclose personal information
You agree that you shall not upload any reviews that include or reference one or more of the following:
- Information that is known by you to be false, inaccurate or misleading
- Offensive, profane, vulgar, obscene or inappropriate language or visuals
- Defamatory, libellous or slanderous content
- Content which infringes any third party’s copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, right of publicity, right of privacy, moral right and/or any other applicable personal or proprietary rights
- Content which violates any law, statute, ordinance or regulation
- Content that engages in encourages, advocates or provides instructions for conduct that would constitute a criminal or civil offence under any law, statute, ordinance or regulation
- Content that is, or may reasonably be considered to be, hate speech, whether directed at an individual or group, or that is otherwise unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing to any individual, partnership, corporation or political body
Reviews must be about the product. Reviews containing the following will not be published:
- Personal information, details about customer service or specials, advertisements or links and references to other companies/brands/products
- Content that includes third party websites, addresses, email addresses, contact information or phone numbers
- Content that is a form of phishing and contains unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, promotional materials, ‘junk mail’, ‘spam’, ‘chain letters’, ‘pyramid schemes’ or any other form of solicitation
- Content that contains any computer viruses, worms or other potentially damaging computer programs or files
Why has my product review not been published?
All product ratings and reviews submitted on www.gincident.co.za are assessed by our team before published to the product page. This can take up to two working days. We reserve the right to reject your review if it does not meet our review guidelines.
What does it mean to post anonymously?
If you select to post your product rating and review anonymously, your name will not be shown on the site in association to that particular review. If you do not select to post anonymously, we will post your name and surname alongside your rating or review on the product detail page.
Orders and payment
Orders placed online constitute your offer to purchase subject to these terms.
Upon receipt of your order, we will send you an email describing the products you have ordered. These communications confirm we have received your order, but do not represent any acceptance of your offer to purchase products from us.
We are not legally obligated to provide the products to you during the offer process.
Online payments can be made via Paygate.
Payment options accepted
Payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard.
Delivery will not take place until proof of payment has been received and the refunds have cleared into our bank account.
Regarding the submission of credit card information and security, all credit card transactions will be acquired for Gincident via PayGate which protects you, the client, with the most up-to-date and secure online credit card processing system.
Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by Gincident separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za
If for any reason, you would like to cancel an order, this may be done by contacting Gincident’s Customer Services Centre on (012) 460 – 7518.
You will only be able to cancel orders by midnight on the day before the date of delivery.
Gincident reserves the right not to refund the delivery in respect of any late cancellations.
If you cancel your payment for any reason, or if your payment method should cease to be valid for whatever reason, you will nevertheless be bound to pay the full purchase price, including all costs incurred by us relating to the recovery thereof.
Without prejudice to any rights or remedies in law, Gincident.co.za reserves the right to cancel forthwith any sale and/or your registration in the event of your breach any of the terms.
Gincident.co.za reserves the right to cancel an order for which payment has been received. This may occur if stock is insufficient or the quality of the products ordered does not meet our standards. Should we exercise this right, you will receive a full refund with no deductions.
Refund will take 10-12 working days.
Risk and ownership
Risk in the use of products purchased via Gincident.co.za will fall to you with the acceptance of the products when delivered to you or your authorised representatives.
Gincident.co.za will retain ownership in the products until payment has been received in full.
Privacy and cookies policy
Gincident.co.za shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). No credit card information is stored on Gincident’s servers in the form of cookies. Gincident.co.za uses secure and reputable payment processors. On occasion, Gincident.co.za will ask you to voluntarily provide additional information, including:

- Your communication preferences, including newsletters
We may collect additional information arising from your participation in promotions, events or competitions offered by us and the information you provide when giving us feedback or completing forms.
Gincident.co.za makes use of various data enhancement services to ensure that customer data is as accurate as possible. Gincident.co.za also recruits new customers through collaborative campaigns.

Merchant outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the card-holder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

Gincident.co.za reserves the right to change, modify, add or remove selections of these terms and conditions from time to time.
Changes to these terms and conditions will become effective upon such changes being posted to this website.
The user must periodically check the terms and conditions on the website for changes or updates.
