This is a red blend from Douglas Green Wines, combining Merlot and Malbec sourced from several Western Cape appellations (Swartland, Breedekloof, and Robertson). It’s part of their “Vineyard Friends” / varietal red range.

Cellaring Potential: Although designed to be enjoyed relatively young, the Douglas Green Merlot Malbec can benefit from 3–6 years of ageing under good cellar conditions. This will allow the fruit to integrate further with the oak and soften the tannins.
