While the exact composition shifts to ensure the best possible quality each year, it typically brings together the spice of Shiraz, the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon, and the velvet-plush fruit of Merlot or Sangiovese. Sourced from mature vineyards in the Western Cape, the “Old Vine” components provide a natural concentration and complexity that younger vines can’t replicate. It is a full-bodied yet incredibly smooth red, matured in a mix of French and American oak to add layers of spice without losing its core of juicy, dark-fruit energy.
