WHY IS IT SPECIAL?

What makes Oak Valley Stone & Steel Riesling truly special is its cool Elgin terroir, which gives the wine a lively, mineral-driven backbone and crisp acidity. Paired with a modest sweetness, it strikes a beautiful tension that delivers both drinkability and sophistication. The name itself pays homage to the estate’s heritage — quarry stone and steel railway — adding a narrative depth that resonates with collectors who appreciate history and character, not just flavour.

Product details

Oak Valley Stone & Steel Riesling comes from Oak Valley Estate in the cool‑climate Elgin Valley. Named for the historic “stone & steel” railway carved through the landscape, it’s a crisp Riesling made with site‑specific vineyard parcels. The wine is fermented in stainless steel, preserving its pure fruit character, while its acidity is balanced with a touch of residual sugar to deliver a refreshing, textural finish.

Food Pairing

This Riesling pairs beautifully with sushi or sashimi, where its citrus zing and clean finish complement delicate seafood. It also works with lemon‑herb roasted chicken or seafood curry, especially curries with medium spice, as its acidity and subtle sweetness bring harmony. For something richer, try it alongside fresh goat cheese or chèvre, letting the wine’s stone‑fruit notes bounce off the cheese’s creaminess.
