Unlike the heavy, jammy Shiraz styles of the inland valleys, Skoonma is all about texture and perfume. Matured for 10 to 12 months in French oak, this wine is a medium-bodied masterpiece. It is celebrated for its “European” restraint, offering a tapestry of dark olives, lavender, and white pepper that reflects the rocky, wind-swept soils of the Hemel-en-Aarde region.
