Tasting Notes

Nose: A heady and complex bouquet. Immediate notes of blackcurrants and ripe blueberries are layered with sophisticated hints of violets, dark chocolate, and a touch of white pepper.

Palate: Massive, concentrated, and richly textured. The palate is a dense tapestry of bramble fruit and spicy plum, supported by firm, structured tannins that provide a powerful backbone. There is a beautiful integration of toasty oak and savoury spice.

Finish: Exceptionally long and persistent. It leaves a lingering trail of roasted coffee beans, clove, and a final, aristocratic whisper of dark fruit acidity.

The Brampton Roxton is a meticulously crafted, multi-varietal “super-blend” that showcases the art of selection. Primarily led by Petit Verdot and Shiraz, with a supporting role from Malbec, this wine is an intentional departure from traditional Bordeaux blends. The Petit Verdot provides an intense violet colour and firm structure, while the Shiraz adds plushness and spice. Matured for 18 months in small French oak barrels, the Roxton is a full-bodied, concentrated red that balances powerful tannins with a core of opulent fruit. It is the ultimate expression of “Boutique Brampton.”
