TASTING NOTES:

Nose: Rich aromas of dark plum, cassis, and mulberries intertwine with cedar, cocoa, tobacco spice, and a subtle smoky edge, giving the wine a heady, brooding complexity.

Palate: On the palate, expect an intense fruit core: blackberry, dark cherry, and cassis, layered with notes of mocha, five-spice, and graphite, supported by firm yet refined tannins and fresh acidity.

Finish: Long and textured: the finish lingers with dark fruit, cedar spice, and a trace of savoury saltiness, underpinned by persistent, dry tannins.

Product details

Tokara Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Tokara Wine Estate, located on the upper slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain in Stellenbosch. Their Cabernet program has been refined over more than two decades, with grapes sourced from selected parcels and matured in oak to combine power and elegance.

Cellaring Potential: This Cabernet is built for the long haul. With proper cellaring, it can mature beautifully for 8–12 years, developing tertiary notes like leather, cigar box, and forest floor while retaining its fruit backbone.
