WHY IS IT SPECIAL?

Fat Bastard’s Cabernet Sauvignon stands out for offering bold varietal character at an accessible price point. Its origins in the warm, sun‑bathed Languedoc foothills yield rich fruit intensity, while low yields and careful vinification deliver extra depth. For collectors, it presents an interesting value play: a full‑bodied Cabernet with expressive aromas and approachable structure, yet enough substance to entertain short‑term cellaring.

TASTING NOTES:

Nose: A vivid ruby‑red hue introduces opulent aromas of black cherries, blackcurrant, and crushed blackberry, alongside nods of chocolate, cinnamon, pepper spice and vanilla oak.

Palate: Full‑bodied and rich, the palate reveals layers of ripe cassis, dark plum and black‑olive, supported by finer-grain tannins. The oak adds elements of cedar, tobacco leaf and mocha, while a subtle mineral‑earth undertone grounds the richness.

Finish: The finish is long and smooth, with lingering flavours of dark fruit, cocoa nibs, and soft pepper spice, and a clean acidity that gives freshness and lift.

Product details

This Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted by the Fat Bastard brand, sourced from low‑yielding vines grown in the foothills of Pézenas in the Languedoc‑Roussillon region of South France. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, vinified in temperature‑controlled stainless steel, with some oak ageing for added dimension.

For Collectors: Although not a high‑end collectable in the traditional investment sense, this Cabernet Sauvignon offers a strong inclusion for an accessible cellar tier. For optimal enjoyment, consider drinking now through the next 3‑5 years (depending on vintage and storage) to capture the fruit intensity and oak integration. A smart choice for gatherings, value‑driven cellaring, or as a reliable backup bottle in a varied wine portfolio.
